Data engineer – Too late, recruitment closed!

Context

To work on one of the Data Products delivered by the client’s Data team (within the Digital & Data department), we are looking for a Data Engineer to create data pipelines, efficient storage structures in a data lake, powerful materialized views in different technologies, but also advanced visualizations or ways to put some data exchange points at disposal of the users. To some extent, you’ll also interact with other tools regarding governance, lineage, or quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure services like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure Stream Analytics,
• Implement data pipelines or data enrichments with Python, C#, or Rust,
• Design and manage efficient storage structures in a data lake,
• Develop advanced visualizations, potentially using Power BI (DAX, M language),
• Interact with tools related to data governance, lineage, and quality to ensure data integrity and compliance,
• Set up a Databricks infrastructure for self-service business needs,
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements and present solutions,
• Contribute to automated testing and documentation of solutions,
• Stay open to learning and adopting new technologies like Neo4j and Apache Arrow,

Profile

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a Data engineering position,
• Experience with Microsoft technologies such as SSIS, SSAS, and SQL Server,
• Advanced skills in DAX, M language, and creating visualizations,
• Proficiency in using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure DevOps for implementing data pipelines,
• Experience in implementing data pipelines or data enrichments using Python, C#, or Rust outside of a Databricks environment,
• Ability to set up a Databricks infrastructure for self-service business needs,
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good level of English. German is a plus,
• Knowledge of Azure cloud and Azure tools.
